Summer is finally here (at least in theory) and we’ve got plenty of events lined up for the months to come.

James Davidge, author of 1st Legion of Utopia, will be at McNally Robinson in Saskatoon on July 23rd and in Winnipeg on July 25th to discuss the historical and creative forces behind the graphic novel. Included will be a viewing of the 1st Legion of Utopia motion comic/music video created with The Static Shift (CTV’s The Launch). You can find out more about these events here.

And if you haven’t heard yet, Mark Allard-Will’s terrifying tale of the beast that inspired Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes story, The Hound of the Baskervilles, is out now. You can join Mark for the launch of The Burning Black: Legend of Black Shuck at McNally Robinson in Saskatoon on July 25th at 7:00 PM.

We’d also like to say congratulations to author Spencer Estabrooks and artist Jethro Morales. We’re happy to announce that Sharkasaurus has been shortlisted for the Speculative Fiction Book of the Year Award at the 2019 Alberta Book Publishing Awards. The winner will be announced at the gala in September.
