As we head forwards into 2022, here’s a look back at everything we published in 2021 – and a special look at our latest Spinechillers release, Doug Bradley’s Spinechillers – The Collections – Edgar Allan Poe.
This collection of works by Edgar Allan Poe was curated by Doug Bradley himself, chosen to be a guide to Poe’s best, most beloved stories. With a total runtime of 11 hours, 15.48 min, it’s the definitive guide to Poe, and sure to last you through the coldest days of winter. The collection is available to purchase and download today, on Edgar Allan Poe’s birthday. You can find out more by clicking the product link above.
We published 3 graphic novels in 2021, and even ventured safely out into the realms of in-person comic conventions and launch events.
Hell’s Flaw, by Lovern Kindzierski and John Bolton, was published in Spring 2021, the fifth book in the acclaimed Shame series, following the ultimate story of mother-daughter conflict. Lovern and John are hard at work on the sixth book in the series.
Electric Vice, by Kyle Simmers and Ryan Danny Owen, is the second book in the inverted queer coming-of-age series Pass Me By. The book follows protagonist Ed in 1973, as he’s pulled into a world of mascara, weathered leather, platform heels and neon. We were able to launch this second volume with the creators at the Calgary Comic Expo this September, and also celebrated its release with a virtual author event with Shelf Life Books.
Genghis Con, by Yi-Sung Oliver Ho, Daniel Reynolds, Chris Peterson, and Ruth Redmond, follows the story of guilt-ridden grifter, Alexis, who seeks redemption for herself and justice for her sister by taking part in a win or die rally race from England into the mountains of Mongolia. Another fall release, we were lucky to be able to launch the book in-person at Page and Panel in Toronto.
With another exciting year wrapped up, we can’t wait to show you what we’ve got in store for 2022 – stay tuned for more details, stay warm, and stay well.
